Pest Covers – Subterranean Termites
Our treatment works by creating a strong chemical barrier beneath and around your building, effectively preventing termites from entering and damaging the structure. This ensures long-term protection at the very foundation level.
Pre-Construction Termite Treatment (Without Basement Buildings)
The treatment begins after the foundation and plinth wall construction is completed. Our process includes:
1. Treatment to Top Surface of Plinth Filling
After soil filling in the plinth area and before rubble packing, the entire filled soil surface and plinth wall/beam top are treated with chemical emulsion at 5 litres per sq.m.
2. Treatment at Wall & Floor Junctions
Rodding is carried out at 1m intervals along wall–soil junctions, down to 30 cm.
Emulsion is sprayed at 1 litre per linear metre to mix thoroughly with the soil.
The loosened earth is then tamped back firmly.
3. Treatment of Soil Along External Perimeter
Soil around the building’s external perimeter (up to 30 cm depth) is treated with 2.25 litres per linear metre of chemical emulsion.
4. Treatment Around Pipes, Wastes & Conduits
Soil surrounding entry points of pipes and conduits is loosened (15 cm radius, 7.5 cm depth).
The loosened soil is treated with chemical emulsion to prevent termite entry through service lines.
Chemicals Used
Imidacloprid 30.5% SC – @ 2.1 ml per litre of water
Chlorpyriphos 20% EC – @ 50 ml per litre of water
Pre-Construction Termite Treatment (With Basement Buildings)
The treatment begins after excavation is complete and before laying soiling and PCC (Plain Cement Concrete).
1. Treatment to Soil Below Raft
Once soil filling in the plinth area is completed (before rubble packing), the entire filled soil surface and plinth wall/beam tops are treated with chemical emulsion at 5 litres per sq.m.
2. Treatment to Soil Along Retaining Walls
Soil in contact with the retaining wall is treated with chemical emulsion at 5 litres per sq.m.
Treatment is applied in stages of 30 cm backfilling, not exceeding 1 metre in depth.
3. Treatment of Soil Along External Perimeter
The soil around the external perimeter (up to 30 cm depth) is treated at 2.25 litres per linear metre.
4. Treatment of Soil Surrounding Pipes, Wastes & Conduits
At the points where pipes, wastes, or conduits enter the foundation soil, the surrounding earth is loosened (15 cm radius and 7.5 cm depth).
This loosened soil is then treated with chemical emulsion to block termite entry.
Chemicals Used
Imidacloprid 30.5% SC – @ 2.1 ml per litre of water
Chlorpyriphos 20% EC – @ 50 ml per litre of water
