Fogging is carried out using a fogger machine. An ultra-low volume chemical mixed with diesel is used for this process. Fogging is generally done during dusk hours, as mosquito activity is at its peak during that time.
Mosquito Control Treatment
Larval Management – (ANTI-LARVAL TREATMENT)
The mosquito passes through 4 stages: egg, larva, pupa & adult. The larval stage is the weakest stage in the mosquito life cycle and can be effectively controlled by thoroughly spraying breeding places with suitable larvicides. All water collection areas and water bodies at the site are treated using a hand compression sprayer. Since the larval stage is completed in 4 to 10 days, it is necessary to treat the water bodies at weekly intervals.
Adult Management – Residual Spraying
Spraying is carried out using chemicals with residual effect. All possible mosquito resting places such as labour hutments, garbage areas, toilets, bathrooms, dark places, ducts, gutter lines, and garden areas are sprayed thoroughly.
